BUTLER SINKS Plumbline has on offer a range of traditional butler sinks from Shaws in Lancashire, England, who have been making them now for over 100 years. All Shaws butler sinks (sometimes called farmhouse kitchen sinks) are handmade from ceramic fireclay and carry a 25 year warranty. These butler sinks will compliment not only any traditional kitchen, but any modern kitchen as well. BELFAST SINKS OR LONDON SINKS? Fireclay kitchen sinks were traditionally either Belfast sinks or London (butler) sinks. The main distinguishing difference between the two is the weir overflow, which was removed from the London butler sink to discourage water wastage. Water in London was not so plentiful as it was in Belfast!
